Facilitation is the foundation of Matthew’s work. He designs and facilitates
processes for people coming together with a purpose in order for them to achieve
desired outcomes.
Matthew assists organisations and communities to develop plans to move forward
together. He has a particular emphasis on working with stakeholders to inform
vision, purpose and strategy.
Work which demonstrates this skill includes:
NDS (formerly ACROD) Organisational Planning Project 2007 - worked
with a cluster of nine Disability Services Qld (DSQ) funded services,
assisting them to build strategic and operational planning skills
and to develop meaningful stakeholder engagement strategies.
HACC 018 Statewide Information, Education and Training Services
- facilitated a planning process with members of the HACC 018 Roundtable
to collaborate and develop strategy, align individual agency goals,
create synergies, and enhance service delivery to HACC clients.
Worked with the management committee and staff to develop a strategic
plan for Carers Queensland.
Developed a Program Plan for Disability Services Queensland's Pilot
Disability Sector Quality System.
Developed a Business Plans for the Learning Connections Centre.
Facilitated a planning process for the University of Queensland
Union.
Matthew’s capacity in research and evaluation includes experience with qualitative
and quantitative methodologies, analysis and reporting of recommendations with
application.

Conducted a review of the Adult Service Model of Spina Bifida Hydracephelous
Queensland (SBH Queensland) and Facilitated the development of a new service
model.
Conducted an evaluation of Pulse Youth Spaces for the Queensland Police Citizens-Youth Welfare Association.
Developed a planning and evaluation system for Youth and Family Service.
Conducted an organisational review and developed a strategic plan for the National Information Centre on Retirement Investments.
Conducted a review of the membership and accreditation policy for the Australian Financial Counseling and Credit Reform Association

Matthew has considerable experience in the development of quality and continuous improvement systems in the human services sector.
His particular emphasis is on stakeholder engagement and the client’s pivotal role in the design and development of such systems
and the continuous improvement process.

Facilitated the development of a quality system for Spina Bifida Hydracephelous Queensland to meet the requirement of the Disability Sector Quality System.
As a member of the project team, developed the pilot Disability Sector Quality System for Disability Services Queensland.
Facilitated the development of an IS0 9001 quality system for Youth and Family Service to meet the needs of a number of second party funder quality system requirements.
Matthew works with client organisations - and where appropriate, design specialists - to develop marketing strategies that make an impact.
